China M-commerce Having its Hockey Stick Moment [Infographic]

Shopping by smartphone is experiencing a growth spurt, and soon m-commerce revenues could amount to 20 percent of total e-commerce revenues in the PRC. Charts and graphs tell the score.



Mobile e-commerce in China is in its hockey stick growth phase, no question. Steven Millward at Tech in Asia pointed out this week that the amount mainlanders are expected to spend this year via smartphones is projected to double this year to $51.62 billion.That’s approaching 20 percent of the total e-commerce market, which could hit $274.5 billion in spending in 2014. According to iResearch, the compound annual m-commerce growth ratewillbe 54.1% from 2013 to 2017.
