Alibaba International has launched Accio Work, an enterprise AI agent platform that gives small businesses a team of specialized AI agents capable of running end-to-end commerce operations, from market research and supplier sourcing to marketing, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
The launch marks a significant step in Accio’s evolution since it debuted in November 2024 as an AI-powered B2B sourcing engine. In roughly 16 months, the platform has grown to serve more than 10 million monthly active users globally. Accio Work moves beyond search and sourcing to position the platform as a comprehensive operational tool for SMEs worldwide.
“Our vision is to democratize enterprise-grade AI,” said Kuo Zhang, President of Alibaba.com and VP of Alibaba International. “We want every entrepreneur—regardless of team size—to access an intelligent workforce that operates with the scale of a major corporation.”
The launch is part of Alibaba Group’s broader push into agentic AI for business applications.
A Ready-to-Use Agent Team
Accio Work is designed for non-technical users, requiring no code or configuration to get started. It provides a pre-configured team of AI agents spanning the full SME lifecycle—from initial market analysis, product design, and sourcing to long-term store optimization and inventory monitoring.
When a user issues a goal or instruction, the system assembles a cross-functional team of specialized agents, such as analysts, creators, and logistics coordinators, that operate in parallel. The platform handles complex, autonomous tasks including multi-round supplier negotiations, real-time tax and customs compliance across more than 100 markets, and marketing automation through tools such as Telegram and WhatsApp.
The system also proactively surfaces strategic insights and recommendations, enabling solo entrepreneurs to run global commerce workflows with operational precision typically associated with much larger organizations. Users can package their own workflows into reusable “skills” that can be standardized, shared, or monetized.
Reliability and Security on Alibaba’s Ecosystem
Rather than relying on general purpose AI knowledge, Accio Work draws on real-time consumer trends and transaction data across Alibaba’s e-commerce platforms. This grounding in live commercial data is designed to improve the accuracy and relevance of its outputs and reduce the risk of AI hallucinations.
On security, the platform uses sandboxed environments and granular permission controls that require explicit user approval before the AI takes any action involving finances or sensitive files. Users can also opt out of server-based data storage entirely.
