Mobile e-commerce in China is in its hockey stick growth phase, no question. Steven Millward at Tech in Asia pointed out this week that the amount mainlanders are expected to spend this year via smartphones is projected to double this year to $51.62 billion. That’s approaching 20 percent of the total e-commerce market, which could hit $274.5 billion in spending in 2014. According to iResearch, the compound annual m-commerce growth rate will be 54.1% from 2013 to 2017.
