O2O Makes Inroads at Alibaba Sale

Some 180,000 brick-and-mortar stores in 330 cities across China are slated to join Alibaba Group’s 2015 11.11Global Shopping Festival, as retailers seek todeliver a more seamless experience to customers who are using PCs and mobile phones to research products, make purchases and reap discounts. For the sale, Alibaba is urging merchants to embrace “omnichannel retailing” by combiningthe strengths of online and offline (O2O) shopping.
