With more 200 merchants participating, nearly double the figure from last year,Taobao Maker Festival 2018 was not only the biggest yet but also the most diverse in scope. The four-day mega-event, held at West Lake in Hangzhou, Alibaba Group’s hometown, spotlighted China’s most-creative and entrepreneurial young minds. Their work offered a glimpse into the future of design in this country as well as globally.
Pictured above, Ao Luo Jia, who makes plus-sized dresses inspired by Tang Dynasty style, collects the first-place award for being the Festival’s top maker from Alibaba Executive Chairman Jack Ma.Here’s our complete coverage of the event:
